Domenico Laforgia

Rector of Università del Salento

In 1975, he takes his degree on Engineering at Università degli Studi of Bari, where he begins his academic career and obtains the professional qualification as engineer. After having been President of the Faculty of Engineering of Università del Salento, he is nowadays Rector of this University. Laforgia is professor of Engines and Systems for Energy and Environment of the Engineering Faculty at the Università del Salento, where he has also been founder and first director of the Innovative Engineering Department. He‘s director of CREA (Interuniversity Research on Energy and Environment). He also teaches in the class “Innovation and Industrial Property” at Università del Salento.
